| Stephanie E. Dunkle-Blatter, M.D. General Surgery Weight Loss Surgery |
Dr. Dunkle-Blatter received her Bachelor of Science, cum laude, in microbiology from the University of Georgia in 1991. She earned her medical doctorate from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 2000. She stayed at the University of Kentucky for her general surgery residency training and then completed a minimally invasive and bariatric surgery fellowship at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa.
Prior to Southern Indiana Surgery, Dr. Dunkle-Blatter served as a general surgeon at Lexington Clinic in Lexington, Ky. She has her board certification in surgery from The American Board of Surgery (2006) and has several professional memberships, including American College of Surgeons, Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), and the Indiana State Medical Association.
Dr. Dunkle-Blatter’s interests include endoscopy, laparoscopic bowel surgery including colon and small bowel resection, laparoscopic biliary surgery, laparoscopic anti-reflux surgery, hernia repair and bariatric surgery.
