Prior to joining Southern Indiana Surgery, Dr. Christie completed general surgery training at Wake Forest University, where he trained an additional two years to complete a vascular surgery fellowship. His time at Wake Forest included a year of research with a focus on renal artery disease. Dr. Christie has earned the Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) accreditation.
Raised in Glasgow, Ky., Dr. Christie received his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. With strong ties to the Columbus community, Dr. Christie's wife Jennifer grew up in Hope, Ind. In addition, Jennifer's grandmother, Dorothy Armuth, served on the Columbus Regional Health's board of directors for many years.
Dr. Christie's excellence in patient care fits in with our mission to provide high-quality, cost-effective care in a community-focused environment.
“We’re blessed to provide state of the art vascular care in a setting like Columbus, Indiana. Care that would normally be found in major academic centers.”
